The pre Halloween thrift store shopping experience.

Found a wet suit for Reed for our Christmas in Florida this year.

Reed begged and begged and begged for us to buy him this night dress.

We found so many great things for Ned! It was like a costume schmorgasborg.

Will really resisted dressing up as a bunny.

I found this SWEET jacket and had my Matrix Niobe outfit all planned.

I looked at the price tag. $30 is a little excessive for one piece of the Halloween costume.

The main reason I hate our little thrift shop (one of 4 in a town of 2,000?!? WHAT?!? anywho...)

is the prices are pretty much ridiculous. Seriously people, this stuff is DONATED to you! Bikes for $500...what the?!?

Then we found some funny hats.

Reed tried to back out of make-up because he thought everybody was being mean when they called him "Hey Beardie" I had to let him know they were having fun and enjoying his make-up.

A fantastic display outside "The Pancake House"

They had a party last week where locals brought carved pumpkins and they are lit every night.

The boys are probably twenty feet in front of the display. It is not small.

I would estimate it's 30 feet high.

Reed's class party I got to just be an observer Mom. Doesn't happen much.

The purple witch won my vote for favorite.

Will's class.

More work for me but fun!

Reed & Will were rodeo clowns last year but Reed insisted on being a cowboy this year.

The year before Reed was a soldier so Will wanted to be just like his big brother.

I'm planning to be more creative next year.

Reed's choir performed at the Little White Church Sunday morning for their worship service. At the end Santa came in ringing bells and all the kids jumped up to follow him downstairs where they had TONS of goodies and each child got a gift bag. The boys were in Santa Heaven! So fun

I was busy getting my life in order before girls camp and it was raining but Ned took the boys camping anyways.

They had a blast! Caught 2 fish in 4 days.

Ned does NOT have FISHING skills. A little help from ANYBODY PLEASE! My boys are pretty much "if they ain't fishin' they's wishin' they was fishin!" And they're not catching much.

We surprised Will with his first trip to the circus for his birthday.

He said the motorcycles in the cage was his favorite.

The photos are pretty crappy because they are done with my phone b/c I forgot my big camera.

We had a blast having Megan and her kids come with us. Are you still hurting from the big chunk of change Megsy Pegsy?

His best friends Riley & TJ came too. We thoroughly enjoyed having our friends come. Thanks! So good to see Michelle and meet Davin even if it was a quick visit. We had crazy schedules and always try to fit so much in.

Riley and I stategerized before starting and I thought heading for the middle of the gym and picking up the bag, skipping all the little eggs along the way, might be the way to go.

She followed obediently and in the egg was a grand prize gold coin (ala Charlie and the Chocolate Factory comes to mind). A day pass to Zim's Hot Springs and a fancy basket. Atta girl!!

The kids had a blast. Thanks SO much to the organizers and all those who donated.

Egg Hunt and Snowmachines

The women's hockey club sponsored a citywide egg hunt. In the eggs were coupons for the participating business'. We wandered around McCall for a couple hours hunting for eggs. We started about 2 hours too late because other people had found and taken ALL the eggs at certain locations. Instead of taking one egg and leaving some for the rest of the community, they took ALL the eggs at that business. A little better planning was needed on the hockey team's part. But the kids had fun searching! Notice our beautiful scenery in the middle of April. Our lake is still solidly frozen and we have lots of snow on the ground.

These would be the reason I want lots of snow on the ground! Brian and Rima's left us a couple Christmas presents when they came down to visit and I want to ride every day until they come to pick them up. THANKS FAMILY!!!

Our First Year of Soccer

I was "flipping" through pictures and saw these. I don't believe I ever posted pictures of our first season of soccer, Summer of 2007. There was coaxing and bribing for us to keep Reed on the field but by the end of the season, he thought he was pretty hot stuff. He was THE BEST goalie on the team. He must get that from me =D

This summer there was NO problem keeping him on the field because Will was there and Reed had to show him how it was done.

The jet skiers are constantly taunting me with their toys. I'd love to push them off and steal those toys.

I have no idea where words are going to appear so I'll just type some words of the story for the picture. We took Hobbes(light dog) friend, Rocky (dark dog) to North Beach outside of McCall for the afternoon. Reed is well on his way to becoming a better trainer than his mom.

We unload at the gate so we don't have to carry all our gear from the parking lot.

We're on our way home after a long afternoon at the beach.

Wednesday we took a short 8 hour drive through the mountains. We went to Warren and through the mountains to Yellow Pine. We got SO lucky because a little past halfway, the road had been closed because of mudslides. We got to the workers at about 4:15 and they had just finished and opened the road. LUCKY! The one picture (sorry they are a little dark) says the elevation of the Elk Creek Summit at 8670 feet. It was absolutely gorgeous. Found lots of great camping spots and got to see lots of beautiful river. Well worth the 150 miles 8 hour drive. Yeah, we had to drive a little slow. When you go to Warren, be sure to eat at the cafe. GREAT BURGERS!
